When you insert audio in google slides you get this grey icon for a speaker button. Sometimes it may be difficult to see or recognize that it is something students should click to listen. I always change this little icon. Sometimes it is for purely aesthetic reasons, but other times it is intentionally focused for students to access content and language. Such a small change can really impact your digital materials for students.
When I want students to access content, but not manipulate the slides, I often share a Published link. This allows students to easily click and access linked content - including audio files!
Here are a few examples ➡️ https://bit.ly/33Z45Ni
1. Open Slides
2. Insert Audio File
3. Two-Finger Click (Chromebook)
4. Replace Image
5. Choose location of image to replace (drive, photos, url link, search web, etc.)
